Creating an Account

Do I need to register to use the Portal?

Yes, you need to register an account to use the Portal.

Email

When you register, use an email address you have used when buying barcodes so those orders appear in the Portal.

If some barcodes or orders are missing because they were purchased with a different email address, go to Account settings and add those addresses under Linked email addresses. We send a verification link to each address; once you confirm it, orders and barcodes for that email appear in your account.

If something is still missing after linking, contact the site you bought from.

Email Verification

When you register, you will be asked to verify your email address. Click the link in the email once you've received it. If you don't see it, check your junk or spam folder.

If you receive an error when registering, try again in a different browser and disable any ad blockers. We do not serve adverts, but such plugins may inadvertently block components needed for the site to work.

Downloading Orders

You can download all the files associated with each order. Go to the Orders page and click on an order ID. This will load the single order page. If any downloads are available, you will see a 'Download files' button. Clicking this will download a zip file containing all the files associated with the order.

EAN/UPC GTIN Assignment Certificates

EAN/UPC barcode orders also allow you to update the assigned name on the GTIN Assignment Certificate and download the new version. This certificate confirms that you are the owner of the barcode.

For these orders, you will see text similar to "Your GTIN Assignment certificate is registered to [your name]". Click 'Update' next to that. A new option will appear, allowing you to type in the name. Click 'Update' to save the new name and generate a new certificate. When it has completed, a message will appear with a download link. Clicking this will download the new certificate.

Dynamic QR Codes

This section lets you manage your dynamic QR codes. On the Dynamic QR Codes page you can download original order packages, see each QR filename and destination link, edit where a code redirects, and design a custom QR image.

Updating the Link

Find the QR code in the All QR codes list and click Edit. A popup shows the current destination link. Change the URL and click Save. The QR code will redirect to the new link automatically — you do not need to reprint or re-download the image for the redirect change to work.

Designing Your QR Code

Dynamic marketing QR codes include a Design button. Open it to customize the look of that code:

  • Color & Shape — module color, background color, module shape, and eye styles
  • Frame — optional call-to-action banner or frame with your own text and colors
  • Logo — a built-in icon or your own uploaded image in the center

The live preview updates as you change options. When you are happy with the design, download a PNG or SVG file for print or digital use. Designing only changes the image you download — the short link inside the QR code stays the same, so existing printed codes keep working. Designs are saved in your browser for that QR code so you can return and adjust them later.

Note: Design is for dynamic marketing QR codes. POS / Digital Link 2D barcodes use the 2D Barcodes tools instead.

Renewal

Each QR code shows its renewal date. If a code has expired, renew it from the Dynamic QR Renewals page or contact the site where you bought the codes. Renewing keeps the same short link active so printed codes continue to work.

2D Barcodes

A 2D barcode is a special kind of QR code that performs two functions:

  • Identifies a product
  • Provides an entry point to digital information about the product

Creating a 2D Barcode

You will see a list of your barcode numbers. For each, you have the option to create a 2D barcode. Clicking this will display a popup with Identifier and GTIN Number options. Both are pre-filled and do not need to be changed. The other options, 'Enable key qualifiers' and 'Enable data attributes' are optional and can be left as is unless you need to use them. Click 'Create Link' to generate a 2D barcode image for that number in SVG format. You will see a new option appear, 'Download QR Code'. Clicking this will download the SVG image. You can then use this image in your product packaging.

Registrations

The registrations section allows you to register your barcode numbers and product details in official and third-party databases, making it easier for retailers and customers to verify your products.

Visit the Registrations page to manage your product registrations.

What Does Registration Include?

When you register a product, you can submit the following details and more for each barcode:

  • Barcode number (GTIN, EAN or UPC)
  • Product name
  • Product description
  • Product image
  • Manufacturer
  • Price
  • Country of origin

These details help improve product authenticity and visibility in online and retail databases.

Where Is My Product Registered?

By registering your barcode, your product information can appear in databases such as:

How to Register a Product

  1. Go to the Registrations page.
  2. Click 'Register' next to the barcode you wish to register.
  3. Fill in the product form with the required information for that number.
  4. Upload a product image (optional but recommended).
  5. Click 'Save' to complete your registration.

Once submitted, your product details will be published to the relevant databases.

Updating Registrations

You can update your product details at any time by clicking 'Edit' next to the registered barcode and making any required changes. Make sure to save the updated information. You can also delete a registration by clicking 'Delete' next to the barcode.

A note about changing a registered image: images often get cached by browsers and other systems. If you change the image, you may need to clear your browser cache to see the new image. If you still don't see the new image, you may need to wait at least 24 hours. If after that time it still doesn't show, please contact the site you bought the barcodes from as they may need to clear other system caches.

MCP Access

Model Context Protocol (MCP) lets you connect an AI assistant to your Portal account. Your agent can manage registrations, update dynamic QR links, and edit ITF-14 notes on your behalf. Visit the MCP page when logged in to create tokens and get setup instructions.

Creating a Token

On the MCP page, enter a name for the token (for example, which device or tool will use it) and click Create token. The full token is shown once — copy it immediately and treat it like a password. You can create up to the maximum number of tokens shown on the page; delete unused tokens to free a slot.

Connecting Your AI

Use the onboard button to copy a setup prompt for your AI coding tool, or follow the manual tabs for Cursor, Claude, Antigravity, or ChatGPT. Each method needs the MCP server URL and your token in an Authorization header. After saving the configuration, reload MCP in your tool.

What Your AI Can Do

A connected agent can use tools limited to your Portal emails. It can view your profile, manage product registrations, update dynamic QR destination URLs, and edit ITF-14 notes. It cannot access orders, 2D barcodes, or other customers' data. See the abilities table on the MCP page for the full list.
